I've augmented this now in order to change the [del 10] that I had to [del 0] which is sufficient to get the proper dsp-status from pdinfo.

Note that if pdinfo gets fixed so that it reports 1 if dsp is on (albeit suspended) at load time, so that the [del 0] workaround isn't needed any more, then we can use Alexandre's original abstraction instead. I'm ready to submit an alternative merge request if that's the course of action taken to fix #197 (closed).

Since #197 (closed) is going to be fixed in a way that the [del 0] workaround isn't needed any more, I'm closing this merge request, and will put up a new one with Alexandre's original patch as soon as #197 (closed) has been fixed (I've already prepared this).
